arrange的用法和短语

arrange表示“安排某人做某事”，不能用 arrange sb to do sth, 而应用 arrange for sb to do sth (此时的 arrange 为不及物动词)。

①用作及物动词。如：

a) 用名词或代词作宾语。如：

We will arrange everything. 你们会安排好一切的。

I've arranged a taxi for you. 我已为你们安排了一辆出租车。

有时用于被动语态。如：

It is all arranged. 这事全都安排好了。

b) 用不定式作宾语。如：

They arranged to start early. 他们计划一早出发。arrange的用法

用作不及物动词时，还通常用于 arrange for sb (sth) to do sth(此类句型中的介词 for 不能省略)。如：

3.正因为表示“安排”时不能直接跟某人作宾语,所以要表示汉语的“安排某人做某事”,英语*惯上不说arrangesbtodosth,而说arrangeforsbtodosth：I’vearrangedforMarytomeetyouattheairport.我已经安排玛丽去机场接你.类似地,英语不说hopesbtodosth,而说hopeforsbtodosth,不说waitsbtodosth,而说waitforsbdosth,不说longsbtodosth,而说longforsbtodosth等.另外还有,英语*惯上不说demandsbtodosth,而说demandofsbtodosth.

4.其后可接that引导的宾语从句,从句谓语通常用虚拟语气,但有时也可用将来时态：Theyarrangedthatthemeeting(should)beputofftoSaturday.他们安排把会议推迟到星期六.I’vearrangedthatoneofourrepresentativeswillmeetyouattheairport.我已安排好派一个代表到机场接你.比较同义句：I’vearrangedforhimtoattendthemeeting.=I’vearrangedthathe(should)attendthemeeting.我已安排他去参加会议.

5.其后*惯上不接双宾语,如“请给我们安排一次与工人的会见”不能译为：Pleasearrangeusaninterviewwiththeworkers.可改为：Pleasearrangeaninterviewwiththeworkersforus.
